Schluter-Ditra-XL provides the same four essential functions as Schluter-Ditra: uncoupling, waterproofing, vapor management, and support/load distribution. However, XL is 5/16-inch thick, whereas Ditra is 1/8-inch thick.
What are some of the primary characteristics of Schluter DITRA XL
The square-shaped cavities on the underside of DITRA XL allow for even load distribution across the tile covering. This feature is particularly beneficial when installing large-format tiles and stone. DITRA XL also comes in larger roll sizes, which can make the installation process more efficient
