Wheatland Intermediate IMC Metal Conduit, 1 In. x 10 Ft. is a type of metal conduit used for electrical wiring installations. It is designed to provide protection and support for electrical cables in various applications. It features a lighter weight compared to the rigid metal conduit. It weighs approximately 33% less than RMC, making it easier to handle and install. Despite being lighter, it still maintains the durability and strength required for electrical conduit applications. Like rigid metal conduits, the Intermediate IMC shields against electromagnetic interference and reduces exposure to electromagnetic fields. It also provides an excellent electrical path to the ground, which is important for safety, and is recognized as an equipment grounding conductor by the National Electrical Code.
